SuiteCommerce Advanced & SiteBuilder end of life

Rebuild your SuiteCommerce store in modern code

Keep NetSuite as your system of record. Replace the storefront with a fast, custom front end.

What is ending, and when

NetSuite has told its customers that SiteBuilder will be retired on January 31, 2029, together with SuiteCommerce Advanced 18.1 and older. Until then, sites keep running and are supported.

If your store runs on either, you will have to move before that date. The question is where to, and how much of the old storefront is worth carrying over.

Why rebuild instead of upgrading

An upgrade keeps you on Oracle's storefront framework and its release cycle. A rebuild keeps NetSuite for what it does best, your items, prices, customers and orders, and puts a front end you fully control in front of it.

  • Speed: pages that load fast on any connection, which shoppers and search engines both reward.
  • Design freedom: no theme limits; the store looks and works the way your buyers need.
  • No release treadmill: no more SuiteCommerce Advanced upgrades and the regressions they bring.
  • Ready for AI: clean, structured pages that AI shopping assistants and answer engines can read.

How we do it

  1. Audit: we review your store and account with vConnector, our own MCP server, to map scripts, customizations and integrations.
  2. Architecture: we decide what moves to the new front end, what stays in NetSuite, and how they talk to each other.
  3. Build in phases: the new storefront ships in steps, each reviewed by a senior engineer, so the old site keeps selling meanwhile.
  4. Launch and support: redirects, search visibility and analytics carry over, and we stay on to keep it improving.

Sometimes upgrading to a current SuiteCommerce release is the better answer, for example when the store is small and barely customized. We will tell you if that is your case.

Questions about rebuilding

Do we lose NetSuite features?

No. NetSuite stays your system of record for items, pricing, customers and orders. The new front end reads from and writes to it.

What happens to customer accounts and B2B pricing?

They keep living in NetSuite. The new storefront shows each customer their own prices, terms and order history, as before.

How do you protect our search rankings?

Every old URL either keeps working or redirects permanently to its new page, and page titles, descriptions and structured data are carried over or improved.

Can we do it in phases?

Yes. That is how we prefer to work: the old site keeps running while the new one replaces it section by section.
